About

For years Anne has been curious about the different phases we all go through as part of life and living. In this culture, we hear so much about youth, yet we tend to overlook that each decade lived offers different things of value to share, learn and contribute. And lessons earned. There is no clear path to follow for aging, no gold watch or traditional retirement at 65. No tradition or standard of any kind or idea of what to expect.

We are designing it as we go along. If we have our health, and mobility in our 70s, 80’s 90s, then what we can do and are interested to do certainly expands.

This blog is Anne’s way to share her curiosity, favoritisms and musings about Aging Deliciously.  Maybe you’ll comment along the way.

  1. I love this blog Anne! The subject matter is wonderful and much needed. Elegantly written and yummy to read. Thank you for putting this out there and sharing with us.

    1. I appreciate hearing that Kara. I also invite suggestions of topics, back and forth conversing and whatever really that feels like aging deliciously inspired 🙂

  2. I just saw the Broadway play Sunset Boulevard last night and today watched an online interview with the main stars Nicole Scherzinger and Tom Francis. Sunset Blvd was amazingly wonderful in every aspect and wanted to hear what these two actors had to say. Since it was still fresh in my mind, I wanted to keep this musical story going. Well, as it turns out, one of the interviewers asked Nicole, how do you relate to this story as a 47 year old woman? She started her answer by saying that you must embrace your age and she called it “Ageilicious”, the term she used and went on a bit more about performing this Broadway debuting role and how much it means to her. Interestingly, that term ageilicious stayed in my mind and I did a google search and found your blog which is quite relevant to everything I thought it could mean. As a 67 year old senior myself, embracing your age and enjoying the memories, life challenges and my need to stay healthy continues to build daily. How appropriate your blog is today with seniors living longer and healthier than ever and your refreshing honesty is intoxicating. Working with seniors is my work, providing Medicare health insurance and providing that sense of calm that they can afford to go to doctors and get the medicine to keep them going. Ageilicious will be part of my discussion going forward with the ladies and gentlemen that understand what I endeavor to provide them with. Thank you for your blog and hope to read other responses to your online wisdom.

    1. Wow. I appreciate your thoughtful response, and pulling it together with your Sunset Blvd experience, work and where you find yourself as a pro-ager 🙂 Your thoughtful response encourages me as I’ve thought it important and wanted to curate what I found inspired but haven’t really marketed it. I too loved the word ageilicious when I heard it from a friend over 10 years ago, because it said it all to me. Or all to me of how I wanted to move through the next chapters. Maybe more conversation happen as part of this blog and comments like yours. Thank you.
